... After the now usual lunchtime hotel search and booking we found the IBIS in Thonon les bains, basic but clean and the restaurant next door was pretty good.

Might have to pop up with the camera if you go again before the Greensands crew open up again. I've been missing the MX photography.

Re: Work

I used to work for someone like that. She would give me my week's work on a Monday, then throughout the week constantly give me urgent top priority stuff.

Next week she couldn't' work out why I hadn't done the stuff she gave me last Monday.

You can't win with people like that.

They reckon energy prices will fall by about 15 - 17% next month. I've no idea why it's taking them so long to announce it.

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike

After 10 hours the battery tested at 33% so I think setting that as the limit should be okay, the fridge has a battery protection feature so won't flatten the battery so far that it causes damage. This is mostly for lunch stops and such, so it's overkill. I will be taking the mains power supply so o...

First fridge test after leaving it on it's battery for 10 hours and the smaller gauge wire which I found was not good, with the bike running it was getting hot so I pulled the fuse and stuck the multimeter in there to measure the Amps, 9A, now replaced with 20A rated wiring and all cool although I h...

I fitted the mounting plate for the cheap top box, not quite universal but I have a drill press so new mounting holes to get it on the GIVI rack were no issue, had round 2 with the angle grinder on the box and riveted the vent plates over the top so it looks better than gaping holes. I will finish t...

They say Boris is intending to form a breakaway Party.

Ridiculous.

He doesn’t recognise a party, even when he’s in one. ;)

(wait)

It may explain his hasty resignation, just in time to remove the teeth from the Privileges Committee.
