I was put on a language course, which was fab, but was in at the deep end anyway, as the lass who had to teach me my job only spoke very basic English. Tbh it was probably the best way to learn, that and buying a TV to listen ...

Quatt/Wales - 27 April CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

Thought we could get over to Wales and around the borders for a rideout after my holiday.

Usual sort of route - Bridgenorth, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Newtown, A483, then loop round to Leominster. We can hook up with people on the way round if anyone wants to join in.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Back, shoulders and abs last night.

It shows how important it is to get your form right. My instructor dropped the weights for some of the back exercises but showed me the right way to do it. Despite having much lower weights to deal with I couldn't finish all my sets.

Re: The Budget

You are right, D6. Perhaps my wording didn't make that very clear.

But its still a scandal when many of the wealthiest don't pay anywhere near 40% on their earnings. I would still like to see a flat basic rate of tax on all sources of income so there is no way of avoiding/evading it.

One thing or another has always gotten in the way, but now with new tyres, time off work and the kids at school. Took it nice and steady, found some good roads, the missus really ...

Re: Buxton Massive - 6th April

How about a mid morning breakfast at that place you suggested? We can all meet up somewhere easy to find then you can take us off for brekkie. Afterwards we can have a couple of hours out on the bikes, tea and cake then make our way home.

How does that sound?
