... the bike, you're happy to do the changes and you can afford to do them, so I don't see why you shouldn't do it once a year. Have you thought about getting a discount and buying a larger container of oil? http://www.aidlubricants.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; are ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Reading the track users forums it seems that people are now getting pissed off with the idiots, so track day companies are starting to ban people. That's good to hear, I imagine the possible consequences of turning up to see the twat that wrecked your ...

The brought in timing for the obvious reason of getting the groups sorted better, as we all now a mid group can be bloody slow or bloody fast depending on who turns up, so our med-slow and med-fast groups where usually the worst for extremes. But ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

... these days. It seems that the CBR600rr does hold its price. Low mileage 2005 models are around £4k. I guess the build quality means you're still getting a bike in good condition, despite the age and the lack of updates means that the bikes from the last 10 years aren't that different .

Re: Textile trousers

Thanks.

I've got a light rain jacket I can put over my leathers, but the problem is taking a shirt to work rather than wearing one underneath my jacket. Plus leathers aren't that warm. I'm getting old and need my creature comforts.

Re: Textile trousers

I've got a waterproof Alpinestar motocross jacket I wear over my leathers, might be worth getting one as a short term fix. Think they only cost around 30 to 40 quid.

Are you replacing the sx and zx6r ???? Dunno. I am getting another bike. I have no idea what I'm getting but the current plan is to keep the SX and to buy something for the weekend. I want to see what is going to be on offer for 2017 and whether that ...

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

(facepalm) I can't win. A quick google finds 1299, 1199, R1, S1000rr, Fireblade and Gixer Thou forums all talking about them. S1000rr riders are getting between 3,000 to 5,000 from a rear I don't think the M7rr is the tyre to use on the track if you were running in the fast group this week and ...

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

Once up to operating temp modern tyres have more grip than we think Rossgo. I was getting my knee down at Oulton Park last week on a damp track with rain still spitting down. M7rr is supposedly the best fast road tyre for wet conditions so you have the perfect tyre ...

Re: Ducati 748 - Road to track/road

The standard one is what John Hackett recommended. He said if you go for a 48 tooth then it limits the ease of getting new clutch plates and as long as you can live with the dry clutch noise then there isn't much benefit from the 48 teeth The SBK Is a bit more than just a 48t ...

... was the first that sprang to mind, apparently VW don't give flying f*ck if Mercedes Vitos are better than VW Transporters. I don't normally like getting shouty with the front line staff as they can't help the policy their managers make up, but they all had some today.

Getting them used to exams before they sit the main one is the right way to do it. But training them from a young age is just wrong IMO.
