Re: The Glorious British Summer

I have been working weekends most of this year so I seem to have missed the worst weather and it's not felt like it's been a bad year when I have only had a few lectures to go to and then having a nice weekday afternoon. there have been a couple of bad days but it's been a bit changeable too from on...

Re: Xbox Issues

I just swapped windows 10 back to windows 7 too. None of my old games will play on it, and it seems to run quite badly. My update to windows 10 lasted all of about 3 days too. I had crash after crash with windows 10 and none of my extra software would work with it either so it was more hassle than ...

Re: All in one PCs

I tried windows 10 this week but it caused so many problems with my laptop I switched back. It kept crashing roughly once an hour and most of my software wouldn't move over including things like Microsoft office which was a deal breaker as I don't want to buy it again.

Re: Off roading in France

my lad has a ktm 690 enduro , its a very capable bit of kit - lots of torque as you would expect from a big single and you can easily ride it to somewhere to go off-road I'd quite fancy something like that with two sets of wheels, one for road and one for knobblies. Depends if it can take a bashing...

Re: Off roading in France

I had a cheapo Chinese 250 off roader before (my profile picture) while it was great fun it was lacking in quality and if it could break it did. It was very underpowered though and struggled to get much above 50mph on the roads and rattled like it was going to fall apart when you got above 40 so I w...

Re: Off roading in France

What did you think of the 250's? Do you think enough bike for travelling to places to go greenlaning or would you think something slightly larger for for travelling about to places? I was thinking of something with some off road capability for my next bike but I wasn't sure if a 250 would be a bit t...

Killer Joe, surprisingly good film and I'd say worth a watch. a bit dark and twisted, not one for the family though.

Re: Best Samsung S5 Deal

I switched from 3 to ee and from the galaxy s3 to s5. I love the phone but the network coverage where I live sucks. I went to ee because the mrs had better coverage on her orange handset than I had on 3 but ee are just as bad as I was getting on 3 (can't even get an outside signal at home) but it co...

how does the insurance work, I'm pretty sure when I wrote off a car I had a few years ago, my insurance paid out the value of my car but straight to the GAP people and then they paid the rest of the outstanding finance off and I was left with no car and no money but no outstanding finance.

In my youth you could have a good old punch up and never worry about a knife. Not so anymore. I also worry about the world my kids are going to grow up in, but I think that's every parents worry regardless of generation/era. Also back when fights stopped when a person was down and not getting back ...

Re: New Phone Suggestions

I have a 10 gig a month limit and generally use it all most months during the F1 and MotoGP seasons as I work weekends and leave my phone on the side in the lab playing them. I'm with EE at the moment but i'll be going back to Three when my contracts up because they are far cheaper with similar cove...
