Re: It happens...

Half right. The Police can't get at most of them and car manufacturers aren't co-operating. Does this depend on the seriousness of the accident? I appreciate that this is your field, Kwacky and you probably know more than me. There was a fatality on the M6 Toll last summer when my brother was drivi...

Re: Qatar Motogp

As Hodgson just pointed out.

You get riders like Rossi about once every 20 years and we are lucky enough to be able to see his replacement genius actually dicing with him at the front.

I can't see the government coughing up the £50 million the developers want from it nor Silverstone giving up the race without a fight.

Re: Decisions Decisions

Its an SE Technik 2.0Tdi with Multitronic gearbox. The spec is quite amazing. Full blown satnav with instant traffic updates, 40gb hardrive for music, leather all through, heated seats, cruise control... it wants for nothing. I had an unexpected bonus, most of which has gone to sensible use but i ha...

Re: No more make-up free selfies, ladies

A lot if the big charities are little more than big businesses now run for the benefit of the employees (especially those at the top) as much as for the people they help. The wife is looking at making a complaint to all the bodies involved in her father's case hopefully to lessen the chances of simi...

Re: Decisions Decisions

Cars aren't fun just a necessary part of my life so i may as well do it in as much comfort as i can afford. I've even gone with an auto box this time.

Though this one isn't, some fairly mundane cars are genuinely very quick now.

Re: The Budget

First £10k is tax free. Next £32k is at 20% ( 2 years ago this was £35k) plus 12% NI and then above that its 40% tax (plus 2% NI).

So even at basic rates of tax the government is taking a third of your income before you even see it.

I think your post was in the proper spirit of the thing but i wonder how many actually donated to the Research. That said, in the last few months i have learnt quite a lot about the reality of dealing with a close family member with cancer and the lack of support that is really given. i would need c...
