My new carbon fibre 'bling'...
... IMAG0241.jpg Came off during the annual fest with the 675.cc lot around Leicestershire... About 5 miles from Melton Mowbray, on an unfamiliar road was going over a crest and somehow upset the bike which led to an , ahem, "tank slap" and by the time I'd recovered it I was on the slippy ...

Re: Josh Brookes
certainly on a short circuit Brookes has the advantage , I think with a little time he could be as good as Dunlop on the road although I'm not sure that anyone will ever ride with as much commitment on the roads as Dunlop does

Re: High millage bikes
... recon that used nearly as much oil as petrol. Interesting about the comments on how an engine is used and lifetime. The track bike has never been road legal, and if it was a hire bike in a former life then it's spent must of it's life in 20 minute sprints bouncing of the limiter. I'm no professional, ...

I just met a biker just down the road from me who has a CBR 600 f3 (same as my track bike) that has a little over 170,000 miles on the clock (shocked) Does show how long a bike well ...

Re: Chicken Strips
Since reading the post last night I think he is keeping them, seems to have started the ball rolling in error... every day is a school day.
My strips have got less since I have stopped hanging off so much on the road....

Re: Helmets
The AGV Corsa, like mine , is the more road-orientated version of the Pista, Blade.
They don't do a carbon version though.
I got mine for £400 with an additional dark visor at the NEC last year.

They just have a little bit of rubber you can peel out. I guess it's a full on race helmet so not designed to be worn all day and if just ...

... Multi on your NZ tour. I would have a Multi or an XR at a drop of a hat.. but it's not going to happen for a while. Got to get the Daytona on the road (it is getting closer!) and get through the impending doom and associated financial fallout. Once the dust has settled and my bank account is my ...
