I'll properly pop along as it's a decent day out if nothing else when the weather is pants.
Also it's a chance for the fitties to get a photo with me and I like to do Rockets missus a favour and take him out for the day, gives her some much needed respite

... new gaskets, seals, any specialised tools & the appropriate workshop manual to refer to. However if I was doing it for myself I would actually take a lot longer than one day over it. Perhaps he's just expecting to do a really good job of it.?

Hmmm, Mike reckons it would take him a day and a half to swap the gearboxs and do the engine swap. That seems a lot to me.
By the time I've bought the engine, had it shipped to Mike and had the work done it's getting close to £2k.
Time to cut my losses I reckon.
