Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering

I hadn't realised that, just given it a go and they will let me know in 3 days if it's okay or I need to take it in to a branch.

... in old scrubs with fake blood and we sat in the front yard with gins. All the kids up here were so amazingly polite, and had to be encouraged to take more than one item. We had lollies left over in the end. All our teenagers were out including Byron. Groups of their friends organised to meet ...

Re: What ails you today?

Hmm....well, I had a physical exam last week or so, and I guess I have high blood pressure, so I suppose it's something that I should probably take care of. The only reason I mention it is because my medical insurance company has called me about 40,000 times since the physical to try and set ...

Feckin hell... how long did it take for the dizziness to wear of [emoji1787] According to Strava algorithms I am not the fittest I've been over a 2 year window. I really wish I could compare to 2019/2020 when I was at my fittest. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231009/1e26f4afad763f8899aff45f94dc33f9.jpg ...

Re: World Politics Stuff (not brexit)

Yeah, let's use the Zionist excuses to flatten the area. You can call them excuses, Israel would call them reasons. You could take just about any country on the globe, launch a huge phalanx of rockets at it, and expect a significant military response from it. Hamas knows this...they ...

Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering

They're all out to take the piss. I remember when I crashed a car with £15k. The insurance asked for proof of ownership so I sent them a receipt for a slender payment when I paid off the finance agreement. They took that value and ...

... again as the bike is irreplaceable, they're out of production and it was less than a month old so they will have to do better! Apparently it will take 7-10 days to get an updated offer and then they will pay my finance company by cheque unless I personally provide them with the full payment details ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

My stitches came out today and I'm back to work later, so I've mostly been doing bits around the house to see if my back can take some bending and twisting and I can vouch for bruised kidneys hurting a bit... The whole thing is a learning experience.

Re: What are you doing today ??

I was asked to come in to the office today.

It's technically autumn so the heating is on full blast. It's like a sauna.

My boss has come in with a chest infection and cold symptoms. It's ok though, he doubts it's covid, he's not done a test. He'll take tomorrow off as a sick day.

Well, that didn't take long. Brief ride today and the SOS system has thrown a hissy fit and flagged a malfunction message asking to see a specialist workshop.

Google says that it's most likely that it had a poor signal and will sort itself out. Might give it another go tomorrow.

Another 110 miles of running in, up to 575 now so if I take it the long way for its service on Friday I'll be very close to the ideal 600... She's a big girl this GS, and has 3 daytime running lights so it's pretty hard to miss, on this ride 3 driver's ...

I noticed that I had over adjusted the fogs and the bike was cross-eyed, so when I got home I shortened an allen key so I didn't have to take the mount's apart and levelled them left/right with a broom handle as a guide, then re-levelled them vertically 8) 462 miles so far and got until ...
