What are you doing today ??

Hahaha. I did ask Si about the dyno tuning I wanted doing but he's too busy with WSB and TT prep so I'll take it to T3.

Oh and the the filter was from someone on 675.cc. Cleaned and oiled and ready to go!

Re: the tyre thread

I'd agree with that, even Pirelli openly state that while the SCs are street legal the carcass is not really designed for road use. I loved them on the road though, like snot on a blanket. If I did more than one or two track days a year I'd buy cheap take offs and leave them on.

... ordered one. Also check the header pipes. Any valve/piston interaction generally leads to metal shrapnel in the exhaust headers. Would I have to take the exhaust off or could I poke the boroscope up the exhaust to look?

... rotating the wheel slowly. Then I leave the bike, ideally for a few days, before I use it. That approach seems to vastly reduce the fling IMHO. I take a very similar approach: If it is dry and relatively dust-free then I will just reapply lube (when required) when I get back after a ride. The ...

The event is completely FREE and open to all two-wheeled fans, Kawasaki owners or otherwise

On that wording I can't see why you won' t be able to have a non Kwak on track.

Re: Suzuki Gsxr750 test ride

When I had a little look at the 750 last year there were some stupidly good deals if you'd take a less popular colour, there were loads available. It always reviews well too. If they are saying there are none left is there a new one on the way?

Always wanted to take the 748 on track. Maybe they say its too noisy but £20 lost at worst. Booked the 12.30 slot.

Suzuki Gsxr750 test ride

... i would go that bit further and the more i road it the better the bike felt. So easy to ride and felt like a pair of old slippers. The motor does take a bit of spinning up. In the right gear and in the right rev range it was fantastic it felt like just the right amount if power surging forward ...

... love with it. I might change my mind again when I get it back. It depends how much works it needs, how much it's going to cost and how long it'll take to do it. If the SX and the ZX6R go and I swap the SX for a 650 Versys then I would need something to make me smile, cuz the 650 won't do that. ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

3 attempts made to take me out this morning. The best was a large round about before the M42. Woman pulled out, didn't even see me until I had to dart on the inside of her car between her and the island. Stupid cow. (punch)

The other two were lane switchers.

Must be a Monday morning thing.

BBS European Track-day Almeria May 2016

... In the afternoon it was more of the same. I was still struggling with parts of the circuit after chatting to Jake (an instructor) He said he would take me out. It was the last half an hour of the day really i should have left it but i was determined to try and get the left hander nailed. Jake said ...
