I also put the missus’s 400-4 back together, it’s been in bits for 10 years. I now need to find time to strip it completely / properly and get it running, needs a lot of work but a cool bike. 1976 vintage 👍🏻

Some car bits, a replacement rear bulb holder and a pair of Osram Night breaker HID's to replace the old and dim ones on the car (Factory fitted HID/Xenons dim with age, and these are 10 years old).

I spent a few months up there riding bikes, mostly Japanese 125s because it was 25 years ago and the Enfields were sh!t then. Desperately want to go back and thinking I might do it with this company in the next couple of years. I'm too old to fix punctures in the ...

I suspect that within 10-15 years only driverless vehicles will be allowed in town and city centres as that’s easily done and will be the experiment to make it work all over.

It sounds good on paper. I wonder how much assistive radar braking would add to the cost.

Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering

It's the outgoing 1250, I am tempted by the 1300 and it is much lighter but I think I will give it a couple of years to work the kinks out before I get one... Also after configuring one the way I would like it the price came out over £3K more than I'm paying for this 1250 Adventure ...

I will need panniers for next years trip to Spain and an aftermarket set runs up to £1K with inner bags so that's almost accounted for the insurance difference between a used one ...

Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering

That whole situation seems crazy to me. In Aussie, we have agreed value stated on each years insurance certificate. It is usually the book value, and if I disagree I can have it lifted by proving why it's worth more (low km's for age, mods, extras etc) but once the ...

Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering

They do have a really nice Rally in stock, 2 years old and 6 k miles, being a used bike seems to make the insurance happy too as the quotes online are not all 4 digits. I've been considering a couple of adventure style bikes like V-Strom 1000/1050 ...
