It’s on the list. This is where I wish I lived closer to the south coast as it would be an easy trip over Friday to Sunday if the ferry was half an hour away b

Re: Quick question about michelins

If you have the option to return it then it's preferable IMHO.

Better not to be on mismatched tyres. Not necessarily because it's dangerous but more that they work together better when a matched pair.

Le Mans 24hr EWC

Its the Le mans 24hr World Endurance race this weekend.

Its on my list of things to visit one day. This weekend would have been perfect if the weather is like this.

Think KTM gave a factory in India now and a tie in with a complete any there. May explain some of the quality issues on their cheaper bikes.

Re: Just one bike

Leasing rarely works well in my experience as the leasing company expect the vehicle to be returned in perfect condition. They have the option to charge for issues they think should be rectified.

I expect however that nearly all new vehicles will be leased once electric vehicles become the norm.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Got the bike out for an evening ride to the Staffs Ducati Owners club. Had a nice drink, a chat and looked at some nice bikes. Then this older guy wanders over from one of the houses. Turns out he was a mechanic for.race team at the TT in the early eighties. Raced Ducati Pantahs and an Aermacchi. Re...

Re: Just one bike

I guarantee you wont buy a brand new car cheaper by paying cash rather than having finance. The margins are so small now anything above 10% discount and its being sold at a loss and if that's the case they don't want it on the forecourt anyway. My last two Audis cost me about £4k per annum. And i ke...

Re: Just one bike

Much depends on how easy the manufacturer can sell the vehicle without finance. In terms of new vehicles I suspect it is very little. A quick google search reckons 90% of all new vehicles registered are sold on finance. The big issue with a bike on PCP is that it would be a brave owner to take it on...

Re: Just one bike

PCP is no more of a risk than any other purchase as long as you are aware of what you are doing. Take my last car. Audi A4 Avant 2.0 diesel. When I took the PCP deal in they set a guaranteed minimum value for the end of the agreement. The theory is you have a small deposit toward the next car. The V...
