The R9F and the RAF are pretty much identical. I think the RBF is as well.

I've got a load of black plastics should you find a cheaper bike with road rash.

... RAF, I believe the RBF/RCF just have new paint jobs. The '13+ 636 is a track weapon if you fit the suspension but it's dampened and sprung for the road. In some US classes the new 636 is dominating. If you want a bike that can do anything really well out of the box 09-12 is the one for you. Just ...

Depends which model though. The R series we've got (09-12) is better on the track. People seem to struggle to get the newer model to work as well as it's been set up more for the road.

I do wish I had a less 'all out' bike for the road, I get zero enjoyment out of my bike at low speeds - something like a Naked 1000 V-twin would be perfect

... to grip fine then all of a sudden they let go and you nearly highside. Yucky tyres!! :P Get some Metzeler Racetec RRs or Supercorsa SPs. They (road compounds) were good enough to get me into fast group :) They seem fine on the road but I will swap for a pair of supercorsas soft front medium ...

Middle paced inters on that day. There were only 3 of us on road bikes in that group.

Hollywood is after Redgate, before Craner.

My favourite part is coming out of the old hairpin, hanging off to the left and going for it all the way to McLeans. I'm more comfortable on my left.

There is a full Akra race system available but they usually cost megabucks. I suspect Ducati may have to offer this as a freebie to get some bikes on the road.

May go back to my original idea of an early 1199 and make it what i want, or wait a few years for a s/h 1299.

Just watched it again , the pani is a bit underwhelming for me, I do like the look of the new more off road versions of the DVT though, very nice.
