DID VMX gold chain and JT Sprockets. I've looked online and that DID chain is the better one they supply. No idea about JT Sprockets. They told me they're the same standard as the OEM sprockets.

I didn't know this. I've had DID a few times on bikes and they haven't failed me yet. However I think the Daytona was a different brand and that was just for the track so maybe he was told the same things?

Excuse the ignorance, but is there much of a difference when you're working on shore to off shore, or is it a case of getting your head down and working the same way?
