... be that but Imo unlikely as it's a good quality QS with many zx10r installs fault free and mine operates faultlessly and I really don't want to take it off as it's genuinely awesome mod and would be hard to go back to a normal change now. Dukes idea of disconnecting could be an option and hopefully ...

You could take the QS off take it back to the dealers and then have the situation where they never find a problem and have Kawasaki blame the QS. Think I'd be ...

Re: ENGINE Problem - Help Needed

... it is the cause of my problem. Kawasaki wish to prove this by removing the QS and seeing if the intermittent fault still appears but as it will take me about 2 hours to remove the QS and then 2 hours to box the bike up ready to ride and then having to repeat the same process to refit the QS ...

Re: Sound testing at track

Rang them up I've got to wait until they have a track day for one of their meters to be free. I'll have to take a look at when they have track days next

Re: Ducati 748 - Road to track/road

Looking forward to seeing the project unfold. Definitely take off the road fairings and put on some track or cheap ones. I would also maybe try and find a cheap scratched petrol tank. They're vulnerable and expensive/hard to replace! Carbon tank protectors ...

It should only be able to move outwards to take up slack in the timing chain. The ratchet should prevent movement in the wrong direction.

... timing chain correctly. If he keeps reving it, it could jump a tooth or fail completely and have a valve meet piston interface so best thing is take 20 minutes to pop it off and reset the CCT. No need to replace if you can get it out and free it all up again and get it moving freely just pop ...
