Kawasaki wish to prove this by removing the QS and seeing if the intermittent fault still appears but as it will take me about 2 hours to remove the QS and then 2 hours to box the bike up ready to ride and then having to repeat the same process to refit the QS ...

I have been there a couple of times for the jap fest back In my younger days but haven't been there for so many years I can't remember any of the roads. I will take a ride down there at some point when I get a day off.

The OEM CCT shouldn't release Andy.

It should only be able to move outwards to take up slack in the timing chain. The ratchet should prevent movement in the wrong direction.
