When Georgie was about 3 me and Perkles were having a take away in my house. I asked Georgie to fetch me a bottle of beer from the fridge, which she did. As she got the bottle she walked back into the living room singing "beer, beer, beer, beer" Perkles face was priceless.

... all the way there, all the way back, 160 miles each way, to Cadwell, and yes it rained during the trackday as well. (rain) (gah) It struck me that were I to drop the bike on someone else's oil etc I'd be in the deep & smelly for getting home. Hence I always used a van or trailer after that ...

A few are doing them now. No Limits ran 9 this year and all were sold out. No track fairings, no tyre warmers, fully road legal bikes only.

It's astonishing that engineers sent to remedy a fault did not do a proper check on what carriages were out on the track already.

... measures to ensure integrity. If a similar system was in place at Alton Towers which I would like to assume it was, then I would GUESS shortcuts were taken by personal and procedures NOT adhered too by staff or controlled by management. Nothing factual just my assumptions.

I don't know what's happened internally. He might still have his job as the company were heavily criticised for a lack of training. Overall the safety culture is good at Alton Towers. I think this is their first prosecution and they've been running for about 30 years. ...

That must have been ages ago Monty. I've done a coupe of FE chrono days in the past which are the ones Andy refers to with the transponder. ... not allowed to overtake on the sighting laps so by the end of lap 3 me and three other bikes couldn't even see anyone that's how far behind we were. He was a rolling roadblock for some people the entire day.
