Re: two Britten bikes to appear at Classic TT

Got to see it at Donington a couple of years back and had a good chat with the owner. Very interesting and spent ages drooling over the bike.

Re: two Britten bikes to appear at Classic TT

John Britten was an amazing guy. There is a great documentary piece on him from years ago. He hand built his house from recycled materials.

Had the pleasure of seeing a couple of these bikes in the flesh at a Wings and Wheels event held at the base I was serving at in NZ

Re: What are you doing today ??

Trying to get someone to give me a statement for an incident more than 12 years old. As you can imagine, they're reluctant to get involved and can remember next to bugger all about it.

Took me a year of anti depressants, 3 years of counselling, and some major life changes to feel I'd finally got a hold on it. I'm very lucky I now have someone in my life that is very intuitive ...

Re: Chester Bennington/Linkin Park.

Absolutely gutted to hear about this.. I suffered with depression through most of my child and teenage years and Linkin Park always got me through another day. I always said I'd see them live one day but I guess it's never properly going to happen now. Apparently Chester had ...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

5 (and a bit) mile trail race yesterday evening. One I haven't run for a couple of years. 48 mins, it's a tough route, but did better than last time.

Even managed to have a bit of a laugh with the course photographer :)

Re: The new improved fitness thread

My first (long to me) long ride yesterday... 1hr 10mins to cycle 18.1 miles. 15.3mph average. Chuffed with that as my bike is properly terrible; 10 years old, squeeking, creaking, 2.5inch soft knobbly tyres, possibly thousand mile old gears which are properly worn, brakes which occasionally clamp ...

The following day I had a bone graft operation which spelled the end of my youth career. What I'm trying to get at in the long convoluted ...

Re: Insurance renewal time

So my neighbour called his landlord to tell him he's going t fit a gate (facepalm)

As expected the landlord has said no.

If he hadn't told him, he would never have known as the last time he came to the house was when he bought it, several years ago.

Sage advice :D

I don't know what the accuracy is on the Kwak. I've got a phone app I use on the car. The Nissan is about 4% out, the Mazda about 8% but the latter is 20 years old.

Re: Silverstone

It bored with f1 many years ago. It lost all character and just became about who has the most money wins, by fair means or foul.

Hopefully a couple of big circuits doing out will get the organisers to rethink things and maybe listen to the fans.
