Forget what it's called....
You sure that's Mexican, my Mum used to make that in Staffordshire.

Re: What ails you today?

Doctors are just people mechanics in my mind. I respect them because they are dealing with complex machinery but they are human and will and do make mistakes in their treatment. A second opinion is easy to get and you have nothing to lose. I've done it a few times now and it's been worthwhile. Too ...

Re: Cav's ZX6R

Yeah but to be fair you probably never went out for a ride with your boss on his new Panigale! No I didn't, and I was in no way suggesting you should have been happy keeping them on, more responding to the comment why would anyone have them fitted to a sports bike. It does seem silly, but I felt I ...

Re: Cav's ZX6R

I'd say they're somewhere in-between, this is what Metzeler says about them.

^ What he says. I did 4 hours in torrential rain coming back from Wales a few weeks ago. Very impressive tyre in the wet.

Hopefully the same sort of guy that keeps a bike for 6 years, does 6000 miles and polishes the headers with a toothbrush on his day off ;)

Chalk and cheese Blade, I had real doubts about the bike before I swapped them and couldn't really gel with it. Totally different bike now and I love it.

Re: Cav's ZX6R

M7 RRs, very good on the road and should be OK for the odd track day.

I've had 3 or 4 sets of the Sportsmarts, really rated them and loved the GPs

Re: Cav's ZX6R

Can't remember which way around it was but one was a BT020 and one a BT023. Think the front was the 23, but not sure. This is what happened to the front after an afternoon of trying to sit on the back wheel of a Panigale. You could actually feel the steps in the tyre when you pushed the bike. IMG_06...

Re: Joke of the day

There is a medical distinction between "Guts" and "Balls". We've heard colleagues referring to people with "Guts", or with "Balls". Do they, however, know the difference between them? Here's the official distinction; straight from the British Medical Journal: ...

Re: Cav's ZX6R

I was thinking about doing that but in reality I just won't be doing enough track days. Severe lack of time and money!

The bike is being slowly set up as a back road (b road) scratcher! Probably should have got a supermoto really but I can only have one bike and that's never going to be a supermoto.

Re: Cav's ZX6R

LOL yeah not sure there is a road in the Peaks I could hit the limiter in sixth!

I've gone -1 +1, so with a 55 section tyre it will be very similar to yours.

Not on this bike Cav. Not fitted the new sprockets yet, I've only had them for 6 weeks!

But will test the standard gearing on my satnav next time I go out
