Re: The new improved fitness thread
Good result Jon! Cheers mate, I can't believe where I'm at now. Last year I was struggling to get to 10 min miles for just a couple of miles, now I've fine 8 min mile average for 10k.. Totally insane.. Tonight I went for a chill out run, 5 miles of hills but at a 10:30 pace. It was really nice. I'v...

Rubber thingee that attaches to the rear set and acts as a locator for the panniers. Somehow the right hand side one had gone missing and had to McGiver one from foam and electrical tape on the weekend.

Re: Nasty track day crash video
That's a bizzare video,I guess design he was out cold but I wonder why The belly pan of the bike in front fell off and hit him in the face, knocking him out cold. Best comment I've seen so far: "imagine doing a track day and being overtaken by an unconscious rider" :D But to be far anyone...

Yep, most of the riding was between 14-17 deg C. I was pretty ok with it but Jess felt cold at times.

Good weekend away on the bike with Jess, just shy of 500km so Jess' longest stint on the back, and not to many complaints :) IMG_5413.PNG This is the loop we did, home to (a) was Friday, stayed the night in Cessnock. This is in the middle of the Hunter Valley Wine region but like a good gin snobs we...

Scrubbed mine in two up through the Putty Rd on Friday. Google Putty Rd NSW, great biking road although far to many end their biking career/life on it.

Has more time on my hands so fitted the F3MC interphone Bluetooth headsets to both helmets. Just went out for a blast and the sat Nav comes through nice and clear, music streaming works well and I rang home and left a message while doing 100km and it barely sounded like I was on the bike. Mainly got...

I refuse to work it out, I don't even pay much attention to how much fuel I put in it, just try to guess how far I can get between full ups.. The RSV had an eco mode too, it was called off.. (giggle) I'm the same. I was religious with the Daytona and mileage results, but now the Multi is just for f...

Went down to the local supermarket for some groceries yesterday. Getting the trolley and there was an old bloke with a walking stick and really struggling so I pulled him out a trolley from the pile and gave him some room to get going. I spotted no less that 4 people walk straight past him strugglin...

Re: I hope these scumbags are caught
Other than for farmers to travel between their land areas via public road I don't see any need for quads to be allowed on the road. You just can't do it here. Landowners get a restricted registration for specific use only. Not that banning them would stop this lot I'd imagine. What a bunch of tools....

Fitted and wired in the Tomtom Rider sat Nav. Made pretty easy with the Multi having a dedicated power supply ready to use. The only gripe is why make both the wire tails black?? Had to look at the wires on the other side of the plug to work out which was the posistive. Just mounted with a ram mount...

Re: What are you doing today ??
I had a crush on those cars when I was younger too. In NZ until the early 90's when Asian imports started to flood in, majority of our cars were British or European imports. In my early 20's I was kicking around with an older lass that had one. After driving it I wasn't as fussed, mainly due to the ...

Power companies and estimate meter readings. Don't know how they go about it over yonder but here I get quarterly bills with every second bill being an estimate. Today's bill seemed high, 5 kW extra usage per day, so I looked into it and took my own readings. They under estimated my solar production...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Which tyres you had this time? Gone the Angel GT's. 3/4 of all my riding nowadays is touring two up, so these tyres fit the bill. They've still grippy enough to push a bit on my own and I have plenty of confidence in them from the time on them in NZ. Didn't get the scrub in I wanted, to much traffi...
