... within your budget. If it gets through, good, if it doesn't, something else will turn up. You will adjust your expectations and budget along the way till what's available and what you want intersect. I'm on my 4th house and have a investment property as well. My first mortgage back in 1998 was ...

Re: First Home

... for it.. FYI "someone I know" has successfully employed a little trick (scam?) to secure a property in a high demand market.: Engineer a way to meet the vendors, as a young couple. Show them how keen you are to "take over their home", learn and adopt their preferences. The vendors ...

Re: First Home

... with cash. That sold 2 years ago for £475k! We saw a few houses closer to the city centre, but some had shared gardens due to an old right of way going through them, or were simply too small. When we found this house we knew straight away we wanted it and I put an offer on my second viewing. ...

And they think out of the normal box too. Rather than insure my bike as a modified aprilia, it's insured as a custom.

... root cause. My comment was a bit flippant and having a friendly dig at D41, but the truth is still there. We could design bikes and ride in a way that there would be no or little risk. But then it wouldn't be fun :) Yep...if biking were 'easy' I don't think I'd want to do it....it's the hard ...

Re: Weekend plans

Re: Weekend plans

That's true for a lot of places. There were two brand new estates being built near Redditch, at the same time. They were identical in every way apart from their location. One was close to an old council estate, the other was further out and closer to an expensive area. A 4 bed semi was £200k ...

Re: Weekend plans

I need to move. There's a house around the corner from me, with 4 bedrooms but a small garden, that's going for £400k.

A house like that one you've detailed would be worth about £350k around my way. That'll go up to £450k within a mile down the road towards the city centre.

Do it itchy. Look at a different way. Your spending £400 as you can sell the bling on for a grand when you move the bike on (lol)

That's an accessory seat. I wouldn't get that particular one, it's quite hard but fits the derrière nicely so is comfortable in a way.
