Its the variance between companies i find so strange. Some are very good at what they do, DPD appear to be excellent and let you know when it will be delivered the day before and we now even have an option for it to be left at the shop across the road and pick up there.

They also do novice only days and occasionally you see road bike only days.

Don't think novice as slow it's not, it is best described as first time track rider.

Couple of comments about the current road conditions so thought I would start a thread on winter driving as I was blown away by what I saw in finland recently. Roads are basically covered in slippy compacted snow (not ice) which is slippy enough ...

I really do wonder if road salt is effective. They don't use it in France and I don't see too many issues and cars last a lot longer as they don't rust away...

Road salt. The roads have been gritted. The chemical crap in the salt does something with the moisture and effectively retains it.

Road wise, this year has been crap. I doubt I've done more than a couple of thousand miles. That is something I intend to rectify next year.

I also want to broaden my horizons on UK tracks.
