Re: Proposals

Now that is a beautiful ring!! Word of warning here mate....that's a four-prong mount - great way to highlight the stone, but also very fragile....just one of those prongs gets out of alignment and the stone will either come loose, or come out completely & get lost, ...

Re: advising your younger self

Tbh I was told not to trust cagers, but learned the lesson the hard way after 1 month on two wheels. 1, Don’t listen to advice about bikes from people that don’t ride. 2, Buy decent gear and wear it, a denim jacket & DM’s are not good enough. 3, When Trackdays ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Today was a triumph of utter lack of planning and basic understanding of our product by our office. I am quite a long way from being impressed tbh.

Re: In your professional opinion..

... I do I pick up something new or increase my knowledge. Those assessments are done on an area I’ve worked in for 4 years. So in a round about way I’m saying maybe adjust your expectations on learning and find knowledge gain in a wider method/environment. Also, before you go back to your manager; ...

Re: Just one bike

I was going to say Multistrada1200 but they're not that cheap to run although mine averaged over 50mpg the servicing is expensive. MT-10 leans way over to the fun side of things, 130 ish miles of fuel or 80 on the iom. It can tour and commute if you really want to and the Cruise Control helps ...

Re: Just one bike

I think that after having two bikes for so long, the thought of having just one is probably way worse than the reality of it, if that makes sense??

BUT.....you also commute on a bike, which definitely changes things a LOT.

Tough one.

Re: For fooks sake

Unless they change the way accidents are dealt with we are all going to be risking it every time we ride or drive. It's ludicrous. Makes you want to drive round on cloned plates as even if they catch you the penalties are tiny :( Significant ...

Yep....when I was riding MTBs a lot I'd get smaller but stay the same weight, or even gain a bit.

Lately all I do is gain, and not in a good way...fcukin' old fattie.

Re: For fooks sake
