Even if you want to get her to agree to something for your gain, put it back on her in a way that it looks like you are thinking more for the kids. I was there a few years ago, but as you say, only there for a couple of hours on the way to the Falklands.
It was midnight and we couldn't leave the departure "cage".
Nice and warm though!

We saw signs and sat nav said no but it lead us to some cracking ...

Sounds ace Rossgo. You'll have to see if you can find any of the roads on a map and I'll take a look over that way.

Twots who can't drive 4x4s or SUV or whatever the feck they're called these days.
You should have a licence for something that size. Twits this morning drifting in their lanes, thinking they've not got enough room one side, moving over, panicking, moving back the way they were and so on. Feckwits.

Re: 1299s or 1199R
Given the two bikes....whichever one pulls at the heartstrings...a bike is a very personal choice....it's like telling someone their favourite meal is wrong, there's just no accounting for taste...and I mean that in a good way, as Americans epitomize the very term "good taste".

Re: 1299s or 1199R
If it was me it would be the 1299 all day long, I honestly found the 1199 way too difficult control/manage especially on our lovely roads and it was a Brutal bike. I believe the 1299 is a more refined ride, oh and I loved the up & downshift QS with auto blipper .

Front end knock
After mine and Kwacky's short flight and subsequent hard landing my bike has developed a knock when I brake. Could be the pads moving in the callipers but thinking the headstock bearing might need adjusting.
Anyone know a way of testing the bearings without lifting the front wheel off the ground?

1 hour? Bloody hell. Before I started getting headaches I used to do no more than 30 minutes and that would batter me.
Great way to get into shape though.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Rode it down to Prescott, then up a Hill twice and then home. On the way home gave a couple of Gixxer boys a bloody nose as they thought their Hayabusa and GSXR1000 would be much quicker away from the lights than my 'touring' bike. Pushed their way to the ...
