Re: The new improved fitness thread

17 mile run this morning, was expecting it to be flat as it was following the river but I wasn't expecting it to be quite so muddy! My legs where done in by the end. https://www.strava.com/activities/1411601747/shareable_images/photo_based/12590888/1/b48113e8-f790-48c9-a6bf-e0d18c143cce?hl=en-US&...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I did 4 sets of everything last night, 2x 5second concentric, 5 second eccentric movement then 2x normal speed sets. Wow did I get a pump and wow do I feel sore today!!! I managed 5 pull ups per set with the 5sec up/5sec down approach then going to normal pull ups was bliss and easily managed the 10...

My uncle was a PT for the commandos. Those people aren't human. Stay on their nice side is my advice.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Physio has given me the green light to hit the weights again. Only light weights, and following his program so only doing weights 2 days a week, and 2 core sessions a week as well, but it'll be great to back into things. As I haven't been going to the gym before work I've had real issues struggling ...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I managed a 40minute cycle before it got too dark last night. Over 8 miles on my extremely neglected 10+year old mountain bike.

Good News?! My knee doesn't hurt !!!!!

Re: The new improved fitness thread

10 mile road race today, was going to try and pace it at 8:30 min/mile but that went wrong somewhere. Finished in 1:18, which is an average 7:49 min/mile. Needless to say, I'm well happy with that and also very knackered! Oh, and who says this running malarkey has to be serious...... https://farm5....

Re: The new improved fitness thread

My PT cancelled yesterday because of sickness, she showed up but her boss sent her home so I did a light cardio session, legs were still stiff as hell from Monday but okay today. Tomorrow I will do a pre-work session, mainly upper body/arms but a kicker in the middle of Stairmaster 1 min> Lunge walk...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Went out for a lovely muddy 6.5 mile trail run last night. First trail run in a couple of weeks and it was great.

Feeling a massive dose of couldn't-be arsed-itis this morning and left the push bike at home. Going to tube it to work for s change.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

NIce.. I always found Chest and Arms were a bit of a 'chill' session; even if I struggled to ride my bike home from the gym. Tuesday night I did a lot of reps on my legs with less than 15 seconds rest between sets to take out some frustration. I don't have DOMs but I can feel the VMO is very tight s...
