Re: advising your younger self

... advice about bikes from people that don’t ride. 2, Buy decent gear and wear it, a denim jacket & DM’s are not good enough. 3, When Trackdays take off - go and book one ASAP, it’ll make you safer on the road. 4, Buy and enjoy at least one, big, fast two stroke before youre 25.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

People who go into work when they are ill (because they take time off so often for no good reason) and then pass the bugs around the rest of the staff.

Re: Just one bike

... on a twisty lane on a sunny day I really think I would be buying a blade. Do it all bike = FireBlade. Tour, track or commute they do it all and take the mileage well with cheap parts and plenty of spares available. Mate had an 85000 mile bike that ran faultless and just had regular servicing ...

Re: In your professional opinion..

Thank you for all the input.. it's something I really need to take the time to consider fully. Maybe I am being hasty but I've been thinking like this more often than not over the last 12 months or more. Some interesting views on what learning is though ...

Do it all bike = FireBlade.

Tour, track or commute they do it all and take the mileage well with cheap parts and plenty of spares available.

Mate had an 85000 mile bike that ran faultless and just had regular servicing and consumables with no major expense or work.

Lot of bike for the money too.

Tankbags

... for the dearly departed RC8, so I'm updating my luggage for the Street Triple. I want one that locks to a ring on the fuel cap i think - easy to take off and no scratches on the tank. Not too big (its not a big bike) but it's got to be useful for touring (i'm debating a big waterproof stuff bag ...

Re: In your professional opinion..

Simple (i know it's not). But i'd ultimately leave.

Find a new job, take your time get what you would like to do and excited to do, then leave.

There are plenty of good companies with good people. That sounds like it isn't a good place.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I like the new 2018 one they've done in white and blue.

Not cheap though and they're down on power compared to other bikes in that field.

If I do drop to one bike I'm going to take a look around at a few adventure style bikes. Triumph, KTM Ducati and BMW all have some decent offerings.
