... the late 70's) I was working nights 1 new years eve and a call came in. He was holding a new years eve party but his guests cars were blocking the road so me and my mate were instructed to go and call on him and ask if he could arrange to get said vehicles moved. New year had already arrived so ...

Re: Things really have gone too far now

It's terrible what happened to those guys. Police really need to do something about it. I mean harassing someone on the road or trying to steal their property is a huge deal.

Trackday report translation

... for dead….. I've tuned the crotch out of it….. It’s got a Dynojet kit….. People tell me I should go racing….. People know I’m a liability on the road and want me out of the way….. Re: What do you want to vent about today?

They've closed the Aston Expressway because they've found an old WW2 bomb near there.

For those of you not from around these parts, it's the main road into and out of the city from the motorway as well as the roads to the north of the city.

It'll be a fecking nightmare for traffic.

Re: What are you eating ??

The missus decided she fancied a barbecue. So, across the road to the shop I go, as we are severely lacking in barbecue ingredients. The one thing Mrs Itchy really fancied was a burger. So I load up with sausages, bacon and bread whilst I desperately ...

Re: Guest Blog

For a long time now I've worked on the basis that the driver hasn't seen me. I find if you move across your lane, that movement alone can be enough for the driver to spot you. Even if they don't you're in a better road position to avoid a collision should they continue and pull out on you.

Re: The most profitable speed camera's revealed

As a high mileage traveller I remember where 95% of the cameras are on the roads, and even the mobile units sit in the same places albeit on an irregular basis, makes you wonder who's getting caught so much. Being a high mileage traveller myself, i can help you ...

"Handmade on the Silk Road" on BBC4, an Uzbekistan wood carver making exquisite carved posts for a piece of furniture, utterly captivating to look at - the carving, not the guy before anyone asks.

I think the harsh ride was from the BMW was caused by the run flat tyres, the VW has a space saver spare but was much smoother on uneven road surfaces and a lot less tyre roar at motorway speeds. The boot is a better shape too, more square. I'm going to place an order tomorrow, just got ...

... cheaper to run. The 650 is group 9 against group 15 insurance for the SX. And a 160 rear tyre is loads cheaper than a 190/55. I've not looked at road tax.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Well yesterday, but took Jess for a run up the Putty Rd, a very popular biking road. Unfortunately since I last rode it (8yrs) the surface has got a lot more bumpy. Also on weekends it is heavily policed so it was a casual ride. Got up to the Grey Gums Cafe http://greyguminternationalcafe.com/ ...
