Pointless unless the bike doesn't get properly hot when it does get used, if it gets hot you're driving out the moisture, and other than oil getting degraded through engine use its one of the only ways oil can get degraded.

The brought in timing for the obvious reason of getting the groups sorted better, as we all now a mid group can be bloody slow or bloody fast depending on who turns up, so our med-slow and med-fast groups where usually the worst for extremes. But ...

... these days. It seems that the CBR600rr does hold its price. Low mileage 2005 models are around £4k. I guess the build quality means you're still getting a bike in good condition, despite the age and the lack of updates means that the bikes from the last 10 years aren't that different .

I've got a light rain jacket I can put over my leathers, but the problem is taking a shirt to work rather than wearing one underneath my jacket. Plus leathers aren't that warm. I'm getting old and need my creature comforts.

I've got a waterproof Alpinestar motocross jacket I wear over my leathers, might be worth getting one as a short term fix. Think they only cost around 30 to 40 quid.
