KTM 1290 Superduke - Review

... out of the bends, it's quick. The raspy bark you get from the exhaust as you blip the throttle for a down shift has you grinning like a kid before you open it again for the next bit, and feck me it's quick.. In case you hadn't gathered, its quick... Too quick IMO.. If you only road places ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

I just used the soap that they do not the waterproofing stuff, and dried them out in the sun so a similar effect to a radiator (I think).

I don't want a repeat of what happened with the RST stuff which I re-waterproofed just before last years IOM trip...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Managed to get the rear wheel back in after finishing work early and had half hour spare before picking up little one so took it for a spin to start scrubbing it in, seems to be playing ok with the front atm, also got to test the new lid out and very happy with that so far :)

Re: Mr Postman

to be honest it wasn't really a concern for me because ive never used them before and normally just use a dark visor which I ordered with it anyway, but could be handy in autumn so see how it goes

Re: Test ride day

No I haven't looked at KTM yet, I have another year before the PCP runs out on the MT-10 so I have time to decide what to get next. The R1200rs was seriously impressive for me and the best looking. I know from reputation that the superduke 1290 is ...

Re: Mr Postman

Nice lid (y) cheers mate, wore it for about half hour round the house last night before taking an stickers off the visor and fit seems really good, VERY snug but not painful anywhere, looking forward to trying it on the bike to be honest, I'm expecting it to be ...

Re: Hjc Rpha 11

... Negatives. The second day at Silverstone was cold and foggy and the visor did mist slightly and it had a pin lock in it. I did not clean the visor before I wore the helemet and it did not dog on the second season after I cleaned it so will keep an eye on that. Again the noise. I can put up with ...

Test ride day

Today I went to the local BMW dealer to try out some possible replacements for the MT-10, it will be next year before the PCP is up and either needs a big payment/HP finance or hand it back so I was looking for inspiration and was also off work today and couldn't let such a nice ...

KTM 790 Duke - Review

... it long term, it's like a quick action throttle where most of the response is in the first 25 degrees of throttle turn. It took me a few miles before I remembered you can change the rider mode, so street mode got engaged. What a difference, the throttle response gets turned way down and all ...

Re: Syria, Immigrants and world politics.

You missed the rest of the post. The targets have been hit before and they were emptied.

What's the point of hitting the factories used for making chemical weapons when the factories are nothing more than empty shells ?

Re: Mr Postman

... mists up, even with a pinlock in. I've changed the pinlock but the front vents don't work very well. Plus it's not that quiet. I had a Nolan N86 before so I've got loads of spare visors and pinlocks and I like the position of the sun visor catch. There weren't any in my size when I was replacing ...
