The fact that MCN lurks on our website for facts submitted by our members, then re-posts them on here as "articles". That annoys me....

Valley of the Lillies Half Marathon today in 1:52:35, which is two minutes slower than last year so I was somewhat disappointed. However, due to a really harsh winter, I did ALL my training indoors on a treadmill, so I was actually just secretly hoping to break the 2 min mark. Anyway, it's over. Tha...

I'm Mike, 42 and the site's resident Yank. I live in the Appalachian mountains of the eastern US, which means lots of great twisty roads nearby. Having said that, I'm a fairly calm rider due to my reluctance to be a hypocrite given that my employ is law enforcement. I divide about half my work time ...

Actually like that show, not big on many reality shows (hate Moonshiner's, for example) but I like old muscle cars, and Gas Monkey's take on themSpudda wrote:Fast n' Loud

Re: Moving up to a bigger bike, advice needed.
One thing I would look at given your location is a dual-sport bike such as a Suzuki DR650. Good mileage, good for highway and all around commuting, plus the power to do 70 mph plus. Not sure how available they are in China though.
Best of luck and what an awesome adventure you are on! (Y)

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
Do. Not. Allow. It. Take it from me , based on the experience of a "test ride" while selling a SV650 and a civil case later, have at least what you value the replacement cost of the bike to be and a signed contract that 'if-he-crashes-it,-he-buys-it' in hand, don't let ANYONE ride your bik...
