R1 was the best option.
Using one from a D675 takes a lot of rooting around to fit with the D6 clipons.
If u wanna splash out you can get real Brembo or Accosato to fit I think.

The C2S made the news here but it was for the poor bugger who didn't quite make it.
Glad u got a great result and raised some serious coin.

Re: Daytona 955 advice please.
I had an '02 955i - the one with the HUGE single headlight and twin sided swing arm - the bastard of the bunch!! It was sold at the same time as the Anniversary edition that was released in British racing green with carbon bits, a single sided swing arm and in limited quantities but obviously more e...

Re: Sydney City2Surf
I haven't yet either. Never been one to read self help books or biographies. And It's only as I have gotten older that I have read the lord of the rings trilogy and I'm now part way through book four of game of thrones (actually called a song of ice and fire). Hopefully I'll be able to get into the ...

I chipped in $20.
My eldest daughter has Aspergers Syndrome which falls on the Autism spectrum. I can only imagine how difficult things could (and would) be if she had low a functioning form of Autism. I only wish I had more patience.
Good Luck!!

Not trawled through this thread, especially after falling off the wagon when the race dreams disintegrated... but do any of you fitness freaks get on the fresh juice band wagon as well? We were given a cold press juicer for xmas and have only just started to use it. We're looking for recipes and tip...

Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter
Thanks for the link. Looks like I would need the PQ8 combo kit for 3&4 cyl - £319. Dunno if they do VAT free for intl. customers and how much they charge for shipping. Then there is the warranty question as well. Converted from £ to AU$ on face value alone it's $580. If I had the 2nd gen bike th...

Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter
The local (Aussie) Starlane distributor dealer gave me a price for the Starlane Ionic NRG which is semi universal (doesn't work on Suzuki or Ducati). It needs to be spliced into the injectors (instead of having bike specific plugs) but means you can swap it to another bike - you simply tape up the u...

It would only be the stand alone quickshifter only and not the fueling control or traction control modules as well.

Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter
One of the Aussie guys on 675.net thought the Annitori was clunky. They do have a new model being released soon and seem to be the cheapest option.
I have a friend locally on 675.net who has tried a lot of different ones and liked the Starlane.
....hence the can of worms.

Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter
I also need to find distributors. I can get the Starlane locally and should be able to get the Bazzaz through Riders Discount in the US. The Annitori can be found on ebay but is currently on back order. The Cordona is also on ebay but from memory the seller was in Germany, so I didn't understand the...

Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter
Not concerned about splicing into the loom and pulling things apart.... That's half the fun, isn't it??!!
One concern I have with the HM is that they make the Triumph one which I have seen snap... and that's an expensive replacement job.
Considering the Bazzaz, Starlane, Annitori, Cordona as well.

First gen daytona 675 quickshifter
I'm sure this will open a can of worms, but I'm looking into a quickshifter for my first gen 675 track bike. She's already got plenty of mods and was piloted to the 2008 Australian BEARS F2 championship but it's missing one thing - a quickshifter. Obviously the OEM one doesn't fit the first generati...

Re: Following on from Epitaphs. choice of music at funeral
Adagio in G minor by Albanoni (arranged by Giazotto). And of course, the venue should suitably contain a very large pipe organ with perhaps a string quartet. And Miserere by Gregorio Allegri, of course with a full choir as well. There won't be a dry eye in the house!! Problem is, I'm not religious ...

Anything that is specific, for example pots that contain part numbers or is specific to the Daytona 600/650/675 or their variants. There are probably a lot of general things that have been applied to these models... I'm pretty sure I posted up threads with wheel bearing/seal part numbers (or their e...

Re: Daytona 600 - 2 years of darkness!
Think I remember you from old times... I was bluedaytona02 originally. Since you're an Aussie, get most things OS, but don't get more than AU$1000 shipped in a single transaction as they'll charge import duties. I only use the local stealer for cheap things like gaskets and the 1050 throttle tube su...

I was offered a crap price for my 955i (the much maligned '02 model) when I bought the first 675 I had... so I changed dealers and saved $1800. When I bought the '02 on run out I almost bought the older model but it was the same price... how I wish my heart gad ruled my head. I had a sprint RS and i...

Iconic and still desirable indeed. Dunno if I could afford the upkeep.
I keep looking at the t595 Daytona or first 955i which are now about 5k Aussie or less in winter... I'm sure I could afford another set of stands, spare some extra garage space and justify the cost of club rego and insurance....
