Erecting a marquee and doing the school fete barbecue on Saturday. Might, if I can get away with it have a spin down to South Wales on Sunday.

Re: Saturday 1st July - Evening Wales run

If you've got 3 hours you could easily do Newtown to Llandovery and back. The B4358 between Newbridge on Wye and Beulah is an absolutely stunning road and it rejoins the A483 down to Llandovery.

Re: Theresa May announcement

May has to present her legislative programme to Parliament via the Queen’s speech, MPs then have six days to debate it before voting on it on 27th June. If it gets voted down, it will effectively constitute a vote of no confidence in May’s minority government. She’s a gonna without the full support ...

Re: London's Burning.

I went out for dinner a few years ago with a senior director of one of the big 4 main contractors. After a few drinks he admitted he made more money investing other people's money than he did building buildings. It's fecking broken!

Re: London's Burning.

It's the councillors who should be shitting themselves. They own the property. but they've passed it on a management company, who pass it on to contractors, who use sub contractors. That's the usual pattern . Yes exactly that, there will be a D&B (Design and Build) contractor that will have ful...

Nope, this one is still under the D&B contractors remit. The HA or LA will shaft them, rightly very probably.

Yes there will undoubtedly. I work on these refurbishments and new builds. This has been coming for a long time.

Re: Theresa May announcement

Think of it like this, if she fails to form a government on the first try Jeremy Corbyn is PM by default. There's precedents for exactly that happening in the 1920s and 1970s.

10 people in Northern Ireland are currently deciding our fait.

Re: Theresa May announcement

Queen's speech delayed. Rummers are she can't get her "Cabinet" to agree terms with the Loyalists, so get ready for another 7 weeks of elections.

She can't get much of her disastrous manifesto though without a majority. Even with DUP support she won't carry enough of her own party with her.

Where's Ken Clarke when you need him?

Re: Theresa May announcement

It's great, we actually lost but I've never been so happy about an election. Except for maybe watching Portillo's face in 97! I campaigned with my local candidate and she won against all the odds. The Tories lost their majority and they're still stuck with the poison challis that is BREXIT! But much...
