Re: What do you want to vent about today?
I'm fine with the 20 limit in certain places like outside schools, and narrow roads through villages, but this blanket 30 to 20 is ridiculous. Having said that the preliminary data on accident and accident severity reduction does look positive.

Re: Mmmm should I?
Aside from the old biddy trying to squish you, how are you enjoying the bike? I tried the Ducati Hyper 698 last month and these bikes make so much sense on our overcrowded roads. Absolutely love it, it's perfect for the Peak District back roads and 90 feels fast unlike the ZX6. The seat took a lot ...

Re: Mmmm should I?
HAHA it's back from the insurance company, not the dealer. It took fecking ages as they valued the repairs at over 60% of its value and the at-fault insurance wouldn't agree to the costs at first. The whole system is a scam, they were charging them £1600 a week for an SV650 replacement bike. So arou...

It's back after 2 months, just in time for the winter! I just hope we get an Indian summer.

Re: A bad day on Derbyshire roads
Came here to post this. That's 12 this year so far, 9 in the last month.
At least one of them, and I suspect more will be directly linked to the state of the roads. One guy hit a pothole on the Cat and went under a lorry.

I'm more amazed that a rooftop 150 meters away didn't have an SS sniper on it.

Re: Mrs Trump
Biden really needs to step down. Did you see his performance at the NATO summit? Just introducing Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Vladimir Putin was enough, but the whole thing was a train wreck. I can’t believe him and Trump are the best that politics has got to offer in the US. 341,000,000 people and it's...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Estate management companies. Once a year we get a statement of account and are told how much to pay. In September we got a letter to say that they had generated more money than spent, so some people should be in credit. This morning someone posted in the local facebook group that the management com...

Re: What are you doing today ??
Out cycling today and just got absolutely nailed by some b@stard hanging a u-turn. There's a reasonable amount of blood to clean up, and all down my right side took a decent battering. The driver didn't stop. Two very nice ladies helped me get myself together. I'm going to be very sore later. Hell,...

Re: What are you doing today ??
Yeah, all good thanks, went to A&E for some X-rays on my hand, but it's just muscle damage. It got trapped between the bars and the car. There's hardly a mark on the bike, just the bar end mirrors, sliders and a slight misalignment of the forks. Hoping they have moved a bit in the yokes and they...

Re: What are you doing today ??
I was going down to Wales for the weekend, but some blind boomer bint in a mini had other ideas. What I learnt, the 6 axis IMU and Brembo brakes are brilliant. I went from 50mph to around 20mph with the back wheel 2 feet in the air in 10 yards! And KTMs are quite tough! Far more damage to the Mini t...

Re: The General Election
100%. I'm the last person to be authoritarian but voting should be made a legal requirement with the option to spoil your vote. I think (someone on here will know for sure) that in Australia it is mandatory to vote, punishable for those who do not. The real problem as I see it, is that the democrat...
