I've got 8.1 on my laptop and I get on OK with it - the easy zoom facility is a boon for me with my eyes the way they are at the moment.

Re: How many (instrument) strings in your household?
I use Ernie Ball Skinny Top heavy bottom strings, they have a 52 at the bottom but 10 at the top so I find perfect mix of chunkiness for riffing and nice and light on the bottom for the solos, to be honest they are the only strings I use now, the 7 string has a 58 the bottom, that pretty epic, I us...

Re: How many (instrument) strings in your household?
Im eyeing up more but funds are putting a stop to it atm, really could do with another ESP as a back up guitar due to gigging commitments coming up again, as for the band I have the guitars set up quite specifically as we tune to C# standard and I always use a locking trem so just bunging a new str...

Today the boiler gets its annual service (not a euphemism), kitchen gets a second coat of paint, bathroom gets an anti-mould treatment, study bedroom gets the backing paper steamed off ready for paint and my nails get a protective gel coat (side effect of the steroids is they're making my nails shat...

I bought a home cinema system of a mate of mine about 3 years ago and I've finally got round to setting it up. First thing I watched? Jarhead. Finally. How long have I had that now, Kwacky? Must be in the years rather than months category!

Back in the day when I still had bikes (a CB500, VFR800 and Thunderbird 900) I organised my garage as below (subsequently it got done over and my tools and tool box and mountain bike got nicked...but that's a different story!) "Stuff" down the far end.... http://i107.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Elections
I'll do my civic duty and vote. This is probably going to cop me some stick seeing as this is a motorbike forum full of hydrocarbon sniffing petrolheads (and god knows I'm one as well!), but I'll be voting Green. I can't find any reason to vote for the mainstream parties and I loathe UKIP/BNP etc. s...
