Re: Always always keep your seat belt on
I'm not seeing the connection here....the guy died from a heart attack, it had little to do with whether he was wearing a seat belt or not. Over 100 people were treated afterwards, and more than 50 are still in hospital. Died from a heart attack probably because he smacked his head against the over...

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
I had a questionnaire through the door yesterday from my local Tory Cnut candidate for the next election. According to this survey, all the country’s problems are due to immigrants and the fact Labour always vote against proposed Tory legislation policy, despite the fact that if all Tory MPs voted w...

Always always keep your seat belt on
Never understood why the minute the seat belt light goes out on a plane you hear click click click as so many people remove them.
Its no problem to keep it on and, has here, it might one day save your life. Pilots cannot predict turbulence.

Re: Work
So this news came out yesterday https://amp.abc.net.au/article/103852218 I got a call later in the day. 10 positions affected offshore, out of around 500 staff on roster. I got a golden ticket. My offshore days are done. Seems my OIM kept his word and secured me a handshake. Still a little in shock...

Re: Will Automated vehicles mean the end of Motorbikes ?
The whole point of automated vehicles, I would assume, is because they are safer. We already have lots of safety systems built into new vehicles to take an element of control away from the driver. Auto braking, active cruise, lane centring systems. Bear in mind that fully automated vehicles will alm...

Re: The electric car revolution
Imagine how many decades it would take the UK to implement a viable hydrogen filling stations network. We are already years behind Europe on EV charging stations. I would be very surprised if hydrogen is the answer as it needs electricity to produce it and even then its only half as efficient in a v...
