Re: Snitches get stitches

So is the whole thing a waste of time? I can understand it could be useful in case of an accident investigation but then why would you want to post it in a public arena? It is only my personal opinion for what its worth, but Yes I do think it is a waste of time and policing on the cheap. The number...

Re: Snitches get stitches

As I said on Twitter, it opens up a whole can of worms. Firstly those who are anti biker but more worryingly it is so subjective as one persons idea of dangerous or careless driving is going to be different ot anothers, most non riding people cannot even estimate a speed of a bike accurately even at...

Re: An offer for forum members

The offer remains in place, so I thought now might be an appropriate time to give the original post a little bump for the benefit of any new members or people who missed the post first time around. :)

Re: T.C.

Sorry, only just picked this up.

Thanks for the good wishes, it is appreciated, but to be honest I no longer celebrate my birthday as it is also a reminder that my mother also died on my birthday 20 years ago.

So it is a day tinged with sadness for me

Re: Europe 2019

If you want really good roads and a country that is bike friendly? Black Forest in southern Germany everytime for me. I have been going there for 45+ years (I hope to retire there) and since I had sell up my holiday home, sometimes 3 or 4 times a year. Fantastic roads, locals love bikes, Shwarzenbac...

Ace Cafe this weekend

Being the first Friday of the month, this Friday night at the Ace will be our bike night again. Our guest this month will be our friends from The Bike Experience (http://www.tbex.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) represented by Talan fresh from his success at the French...

The Bike Experience

One of my favourite charities is The Bike Experience and I am proud that my firm are one of their sponsors. So to Talan and Will along with the rest of the team, keep up the good work. For everyone else, here is what they are about https://www.hudgellsolicitors.co.uk/news/personal-injury/the-bike-ex...

Re: The Royal Wedding

One of the downsides of living so close to Wndsor is that it is getting rammed down our throats 24/7. Local radio, press and TV are all having a field day.

Roll on Sunday when it is all over.....

Other opportunities will always present themselves and you cannot be faulted having qualified why you decided not to go.

And following on from my post about The Bike Experience

As many of you know I have been involved with Talan and the race team for a number of years and you probably got fed up with me banging on about how inspirational I thought they were. Anyway, last year I circulated an email around my firm with an invitation for anyone who was interested to go along ...

The joy that motorcycling can bring

I was at Silverstone today representing my firm who sponsor The Bike Experience http://www.tbex.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Silverstone used to donate the area that they use as a goodwill gesture but had a change of heart and now make a charge, so we stepped in an...

It would be wrong and unprofessional of me to start naming names on a public forum.

In any case, it is all down to personal opinion

Re: An offer for forum members

Its cracking bit of kit, to be honest and pretty sure a year ago or so a person from our Advanced group had an incident in London while on way to work and he said that thing saved him from broken bones, so it is a worthy investment Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I can well imagine In my capci...

Re: IAM

That's a very informative post TC, strangely it goes against some of the training that I have received as a 'Professional' driver, even on my bike test I got a minor fault for not indicating off a small roundabout when going straight ahead with nothing else around, so I usually do that now. I need ...

Re: IAM

The issue about indicators is quite simple. When taking the L test, riders and drivers are taught to indicate for everything. It becomes automatic . However, this becomes a double edged sword. Firstly, the definition of an indicator is that it is a signal of intent. So... I intend to turn right I in...

Re: Do you know someone who can help?

Unfortunately don’t know anyone but can advise on kit that has saved me from more serious injury. Likewise, having done case studies of over 1,000 crashes just in respect of the kit and how it protects (or doesn't protect) in the case of a crash, and my own injury and lifetime disability was partly...
