Re: Glasses! Of the spectacle kind
Whilst glasses are on the distant horizon for me, my Brother has worn glasses since he was three and been riding bikes for 35yrs - as an instructor for at least 10 of those years. He's found its easier to use straight sided arms and to find helmets where the foam joints of the lining correspond with...

My guess would have been Snakebite, a perennial favourite amongst the getting trashed quickly brigade. Am I the only one who's first thought was that the car park would been full of Transit vans. Re: The Europe debate
It is my observation that one of the main issues is so called Professional Politicians in Europe as well as the UK, they are supposed to be in Parliament with the best interests of their Constituents as their only concern, by the very fact they are Career politicians they will look after themselves ...

Re: Top 5 Bluetooth Headsets from the MCN Shop
I tried a bike to bike radio once, my Brother being a Bike Instructor had access to the ones he used at work, so we borrowed them for our annual NEC bike trip, apart from the pain of it sticking in my ear for hours at a time, I found it useful about 1% of the time, the rest of the time we ended up r...

Tonight the lad that bought and weeks later wrote off my old 675 Daytona is calling in to pick up the std can and a spare set of headers for the rebuild. I can't knock him as he did pm me to apologise for smashing "your" bike up. (facepalm) Tomorrow will be mostly allowing Mrs Gee to unwin...

Frankie, I feel for you. The trips to Carmarthen/Truro/Liverpool etc and back with a 7-8hr working day in the middle are not missed and if I can wangle it are over for good. The roads are awful, full of selfish, stupid, inept people and will not get better as far as I can see. Stay safe out there. ;)

Whilst I'm not a fan I feel for the guy and his family, to have been a vibrant fit human being with so much to live for and potentially to end up in a PVS is horrific, in fact it's my worst nightmare and I've left clear instruction to ensure that doesn't happen to me. Jack - did your Grandad recover...

Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....
I suppose my most inept and embarrassing incident happened at Lydden Hill racetrack, no high speed heroics though, all low speed stupidity. I was doing the first trackday after having a new hip fitted, so decided to drop down to inters for obvious reasons, after getting stopped leaving the track aft...

Re: What was so hard about getting it right
I'm sorry to say I got very ratty with a lad from Orange, that was trying to sell me deals other than what I wanted, I had done exactly the same as you CT, I'd researched it and I knew exactly what I wanted but he'd obviously got a spiel to go through. He got about 5 words in before I asked him ters...

Who's battery was that? It's a Dynavolt, well that's what's written on it anyway, it's an Ebay special so its a lottery on whether it'll be any good. I've finally managed to get some charge into it, but it's still only hitting 12.2v after pulling it off the charger. It's enough to spin the starter,...

Re: It was 20 years ago today..........
Nowt wrong with the motor in those 955i/T595's, my first trackday was on my old 595, so much rain they closed Cadders. Second time round was at Snetterton and I found a lad on a 996 that was about the same ability as me, had a great time but nearly fell off when the suspension threw its hand in and ...

I'm 53, and a 50/50 English/Welsh mix, (google "Hiraeth" for how that works out), but have lived in a quiet, beautiful corner of the Essex coast all my life. Up until last year I was the SE Tech Support for a large Multi National Company making mobile cranes - the ones with a dozen wheels ...

Re: What are you eating ??
In the evenings I've mostly been eating the chocs that Mrs Gee rejects, since all the kids in her class and the rest of the Staff loaded her with boxes of chocolates as birthday pressies a couple of weeks back. It's a filthy job but in the interests of domestic harmony I endure it. (happy) However a...

Still utterly beautiful, and yes I still would.
