Re: Edwards to retire from MotoGP
Agreed, I've got some good memories of CE in WSBK, him and Bayliss had some epic battles.

Re: Accident on the mountain.
Made me jump as well, deffo the rocketeer's fault, mind you whilst he can't be held to blame for someone else's stupidity, the car driver must have known that was a daft place to be doing 25-30mph.

What Kwacky said.
If the blob is touching down there's a good chance the tyre is at the limit of grip and on its "shoulder", have a look at the tyre and see for yourself.

Re: What annoys you most in 2014?
Nothing has changed, surprisingly all the things that annoyed me in 2013 still annoy me in 2014.
Oh wait! MCN have just annoyed me more than last year, if you idiots at MCN read this, realise now that asking banal questions will drive me further away from ever considering buying your worthless rag.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I asked him which alarm was on it Kwacky - as that's what he called me for originally, after he told me he'd busted it open and disabled it, it was obvious it had to come off, I was surprised to find it had the S4 fitted as I was under the impression that model had been brought out not long before t...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Plans for working on my bike changed this morning with a phone call from Dan - the son of a good friend, his D650 was badly ill with a severe case of knackered S4 alarm. So this morning we removed the alarm and fitted the blanking plug which he'd got. Put the battery back on and found the battery wa...

Re: What are you doing today ??
Did the Easter sausage run this morning, which turned into a disappointment, but still enabled my 11yr old and I to wade into a couple of proper butchers pork pies for lunch. Nom nom. Then this afternoon we had friends over with their kids and all went for a decent hike around the coast hereabouts, ...

Re: Peaches Geldof
Just because her father is to a degree famous and she could possibly be described as infamous, she was still a mother to two kids, so yes its a bad thing she's died, I'm intensely sorry for her family as I would be for anyone that dies before their time and leaves small children without a parent, it...

Re: What oil to use....??
Same as Blade - Opie's are spot on, in fact at the moment they have a promotion on Castrol oils, the current Triumph recommended oil is Castrol Power1 4t fully synth 10/40w, which they are flogging for £34.99 for a 4L can. I'll be getting a couple of cans at that price btw. Fwiw the semi synth is £2...

Re: Brake Pads
Fwiw I've had the EBC HH pads on the Tiger - mated to new discs as well, they're better than the oem pads but still not performing as I would like. My lad has them in his CBR600 and loves them, they get good write ups, but don't buy the HH look-alikes as they don't seem to impress. I've tried the Br...

Went to Snetterton, I played pit monkey for a mate from 675.cc that is under the Surgeons knife on Thursday and was determined to get some track time in before his world revolves around physio and pain meds. Bit wet out on track, but the (stupidly) fast group appeared to have a few pro racers mixed ...

Re: What you watching?
Me and Mrs Kwacky started to watch the latest Hobbit film. We got as far as the dragon then had to call it a night. We'll watch the rest tonight. Mrs Gee has ordered it for Mini Gee, not holding my breath as we saw the first one at the flicks, I wondered beforehand how they'd made a modest book int...

Massimo Tamburini RIP
Reported on the Ducati UK forum amongst others, Massimo Tamburini has passed away earlier today, no formal statements from Ducati or MV, but RTV San Marino have picked up the story. The world is a poorer place without him. ;( http://ducatiforum.co.uk/forum/threads/rip-massimo-tamburini.21543/" ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Took the Tiger to pieces to try and find out why it didn't want to start, tested the injectors and found they were clagged up, so cleaned them out tested them and finally got it running about 17.30.
I'll have to put the rest of the bike together tomorrow or Monday.
