Re: What ails you today?

Side effects of over excursion. I've been light headed, had difficulty focusing, hot and cold sweats, including feeling so cold I was shaking and my teeth were chattering. I'm going to blame a combination of tiredness, dehydration, and blood sugars being all over the place. I'm finally now starting...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Not today but on the weekend.. With all the stress life is throwing my way I thought a couple hour blast on the Thruxton was in order. It’s been about 4 months since I took it out. Seemed really slow to start, heaps of battery and cranked fine but didn’t want to fire. Finally got it going and heade...

Re: Work

Life changing. Well worth the pain of the last few swings. (nod) ^ Precisely this ^ The pain of the last two years since the Sydney Water debacle. I only decided to stay on because of the impending redundancy. But it was like the proverbial carrot on a stick and constantly moving!!! But regardless,...

Re: Work

Thanks guys Yeah totally great news. I’m under “redeployment opportunities consideration” till the end of the month/pay period (which was the rest of my normal break anyway) but it’s just a protocol. It’s already known I won’t redeploy anywhere due, and there are no Santos jobs for me here. So redun...

Re: Work

So this news came out yesterday https://amp.abc.net.au/article/103852218 I got a call later in the day. 10 positions affected offshore, out of around 500 staff on roster. I got a golden ticket. My offshore days are done. Seems my OIM kept his word and secured me a handshake. Still a little in shock.

Re: Work

Everyone makes mistakes, that’s how we learn a lot of the time. You can get a level of leeway with that to a point.

But being deceitful is a terrible trait, and I’d have zero tolerance to it. In the industries I’ve worked in, dishonesty in your job kills people.

Re: What ails you today?

I hope it's a light dose of it Not quite as horrendous as the first time but still 4 days in with massive unrelenting headaches, sinus congestion, body aches. Hot and cold flushes at night, just not having fever sweats this time. My daughter has tested positive this morning as well so couch day for...

Getting home, overnight stop in Adelaide and pushed my 6am Sydney flight back to 9am so having a nice buffet breakfast and relaxed morning and will still be home before everyone gets back from school and work. Byron’s done really well while I’ve been away. His emotional state has remained very balan...

Re: What are you doing today ??

As for the redundancy timeframe it’s still the great unknown. So many moving pieces the goal posts are constantly changing. But when I first got back home last time and things had blown up with Byron and his mum, and I realised he wouldn’t be going back to his mums, I actually rang the Field Manage...
