the potatoes, beans, carrots and peas were all picked today fresh off my allotment. It's amazing just how quickly fresh food cooks (and tastes).

Yum.

Nah, he also slaughtered the cow out back as well! Fresh veggies are great, wish I had the time to plant a garden this year, but....

No allotment, but do get the benefit of my Boss's Dad sending his home grown produce in for us. I always bake/cook something with the fruit or veg and send it over to him as a thank you Bear

Sorry I missed church, I was busy practicing Witchcraft!

I had fish with it. I'm as vegetarian as Bratty is tall.

I had spaghetti on toast. It also cooked really fast. And I plucked the can myself off the supermarket shelf.

I went out for dinner to this restaurant called Chapter One.
For starters it was crispy shredded duck pancakes, then for main I had a Surf N Turf (which although it sounds bad is actually a steak with prawn chilli skewers). It was awesome. Pudding was rum and banana creme brulee.
Did none of the work myself at all. Which made it even more satisfying.

Sounds very nice. Having two small kids means we dont go out to eat all that often.

Wife and kids are at the beach, so I treated myself to a medium rare steak and no fixings, whatsoever. Will do better tomorrow as I have a buffalo steak marinaing and will saute some portabello mushrooms to top it with. Obviously not a vegatarian either

Fixings??? Thinking Sorry, Mack, but on our 'bill of materials' at work, fixings are classed as 'cable-ties, screws, nuts & bolts etc' Made me laugh that did Covered Laugh

Rare or medium rare for me as well. I want to taste the meat, not the burnt bits.

you should always order medium at the very most if going to a restaurant - the well done ones and medium-well tend to be from the back of the freezer whereas they save the fresher meat for the medium-rare and rare.

Similar to what I'm having for lunch today.
It's either that or one of the sandwiched from the deli down the hill from where I work.

Also you just reminded me of 'Fanta bread' - it's something they eat in Tonga. Proper awesomeness, you think it's going to be awful but it's really nice!

Like I said, I had no 'fixings'!

Finally got around to grilling that buffalo steak tonight, topped with butter and tequila sauted shrimp. Got my carbs from beer.

We've just been to our local Frankie & Benny's for a meal...always nice when it's spontaneous like tonight. I had a nice simple steak, medium rare (no nuts & bolts, Mack Covered Laugh) and a really lush slice of pecan cheesecake to finish mmmmmmmmmmmm... Mmm... Pitty had a calzone pizza (Pitty told me that the word 'calzone' is Italian for 'oops we f*cked up your pizza, it fell on the floor but if we fold it up you won't notice' Nodding) He finished his meal with one of those huge ice-cream sundays, all chocolate sauce and sprinkles Clapping Hands Happy days... Happy
