Oh, it gets worse. I really hope things start improving soon. Only met him once, but could tell he's a great guy (apart from the chatting on here of course).

Anyone who texts or speaks to him please pass on my best.

And let him know that the zx6r is still on 0% finance, and that I still dont mind if he has the same as me. Smirking

Quick update on Bratty..

I've just spoken to him on the phone and he seems quite positive. It sounds like he's still in a fair amount of pain but the news from the doctors seems promising.

They have another couple of rounds of x-rays to do and provided he carries on the progress he is currently making he should be good to go home tomorrow.

From the tone of his voice he sounded quite up beat, given the situation, so fingers crossed they've got it right this time.

Just had thought this morning (and it didn't hurt at all) we all wish Bratty a speedy recovery and I'm sure he'll catch up with all of the well wishes but if someone is visiting, is it too late to take a 'Virtual Get Well Soon' message that we could add messages too ?

Just googled and this is the 1st thing I looked at. Not sure if its suitable as I'm having to dash off but if someone can look in to the idea and see what people think

He's still in hospital and he's still on the morphine. He hopes to be out tomorrow. I've told him we're all thinking of him.

I would like to add something to the comments about the lady that was in the car.

I spoke to both her and the driver, all be it very briefly. She was a very frail old lady who was recovering from a hip operation only days before the accident.

Don't get me wrong I'm not suggesting that she warranted the air ambulance any more or less than bratty, just that there is always a lot more information than the papers ever print.

I guess they only use the air ambulance as a very quick way of getting someone to hospital in an emergency. In this case, i would think that the paramedics had to make a decision who was likely to need treatment most urgently.

I have the utmost respect for paramedics. They really are at the shitty end of the stick when it comes to the treatment line for people in need of hospital care and they don't earn an awful lot for what they do.

Anyone heard from him? I've not had any news for a day or so. His wife mentioned he was hopfully out today but was still on the morphine yesterday?

I'd have hoped he'd been out by now?

He's hoping to be out this evening or tomorrow morning. He said he's still feeling rough (naturally) but better than he was.

I've asked him to let me know if he's up for a visit from me on Sunday.

He's back home, drugged up to the eyeballs. He's passed on his thanks to everyone.
