Registered: 1 year ago Posts: 1,144 Rank: Champion Slapper	Location: Pavillions   Start: 23/04/2010 19:00  End: 23/04/2010 20:59  A little history lesson first The local Wednesday night bike meet used to be at a pub called The Wheel, between Wolverhampton and Bridgnorth which was cancelled due to the local residents threatening to close it down, so it moved 3 miles up the road to the Swancote Country Club which can be buzzin' on the right night However, their were rumours last year that this place was going to close down, so a local Garden Centre, with a cafe, toilets, bar, tarmac carpark etc, did a Friday night meet and decided to do the Wednesday should the Swancote close Now the Swancote is still open and this Garden Centre still does its Fridays but for some reason, they're charging £2 per bike to park ! Chav on the gate to Spudda "£2 please mate" Spudda to Chav "What for?" Chav to Spudda "To get in" Spudda to Chav "Where does the money go, charity?" Chav to Spudda "Nah mate, it goes towards the live bands, the food and drink" Spudda to Chav "So all the snap is free then and where's tonights band" Chav to Spudda "Nah, we still charge for the food but you get a discount; and we haven't booked any bands yet" Spudda to Chav "I've already had my dinner, so the discount is no good to me, all I want is a cuppa" Chav to Spudda "Its still £2 mate" Spudda to Chav "Why are you the only place ripping people off?" Chav to Spudda "Just doin' what the gaffa sez" With that I U'turn and buzz off Now this place was starting to take off toward the end last 'season' - there was only 10 bikes tonight Does anybody else go to weekly bike meets that charge to get in?
