Cracking ride today, what a glorious day. Perfect blue sky all day long, just a little on the chilly side.

Met up at boxhill and had a cuppa to defrost, I don't think any of us had feeling in our toes Mmm...

Left boxhill and heading down the A24, had to keep slowing down as one of the guys was running his bike in (or at least that was his excuse Clapping Hands) Started peeling off the main roads from the 272 and headed out on to some twisties. Rickster had some fun on one of the tighter bends, deciding discresion was the better part of valor and gave up taking the corner opting for a side road in stead Big Smile It stayed shiny side up mate, thats what counts.

Fortunately, as far as I know, that was the most exciting part of the ride..

Stopped of at the pub at the top of devils dyke, stunning location with some amazing views. Photos later. Had a bite to eat and then decided as we where so close to the sea we couldn't pass up a quick coffee on the sea front.

The ride back to boxhill was quiet and uneventful, kept off the main roads as much as possible and enjoyed the sun and cleanish roads. Quick cuppa and it was time to head home. The M25 was stacked solid from just before the A3 round to the M3 where it was closed Envy Thats around 15 miles of filtering Happy damn it's good having a bike.

All in all a cracking day out.. Looking forward to the next ride now, just would be good if it's a bit warmer..

Pics..

Hopefully the other guys will upload their photos too.. I was proudly sporting my new tankslap teashirt which is in one of their photos.

HAHA yes thats joas.. the photographer mate of mine.. bit of a poser Smile

Heres the infamous corner i almost wiped out in a nasty way if not for the slip road. he he he

At 75 I had about 1 second decision..and still ended up going up the wrong side of the slip road.. or in the hedge

If you're gonna balls up a corner - that looks a good corner to do it on, having an escape route.

It's a good-un.. You can't see if from that image but the bend really tightens up on you and the escape route taken isn't exactly straight on.. I would guess my entry speed was about 30.. 75 Shaking

Can't wait now for the warmer weather so I can try that bend properly Evil grin

Excellent photos, guys, but it looks really chilly Nodding Great to see Rykas again - I've still got an original 'Rykas Bikers' T-shirt from years and years ago when I lived in Surrey - the slogan says 'Ryka's Bikers tamed the Mickies' - happy days Sun
