Weather is supposed to be good. Probably the last meeting there for the year.

Anyone up for it?

I'm not going. I know what the police presence is like there, and I have my mildly illegal plate on. Not got my legal plate with me. (haven't rigged it up yet so I can change beween them easy.)

Don't be a coward. There was one police van there the last time we went. There were 2 biks parked up but they were manning a stand showing the dangers of riding bikes.

Honestly, you'll be fine.

I dare you to actually turn up to a meet Tongue Out

It was empty when I got there (about 6.20) with no more than 20 bikes. Bratty and Jase turned up about 15 minutes later. I reckon the place started to get busy about 7. Lots of Police. I don't know if there was an trouble the previous week. Old Bill weren't doing anything but they made sure you noticed thedir presence. Hardly any cars there so I'm not sure if there has been an effort made to make sure it's bike night only.

I remembered last night - I still haven't put my tax disc on either. So defo wouldn't have risked it.

Cant believe summer is almost over. I dont feel like I've done anything on the bike this year again.

You haven't. No ride outs, no track days, no training. It's an easy trap to fall into. You use the bike every day for work and it no longer feels like fun to go out for a blast.

I've done 2 trackdays (Donny and Mallory) but both were went/damp - so they didn't feel as good fun as normal.

I went to Cat and Fiddle in Feb/March - but was ages ago, doesn't really feel like this year. Apart from that, nope.

I really want to do some kind of tour. I'd love to get to the Swiss/Italian border. Especially those roads that top gear drove (best road in the world, lambo, porsche and aston martin)

Ah yes, I forgot about Donny.

Tours take some planning and you need a group you can trust. Doing a Wales tour for a couple of days would be a good start.

I thought about Scotland first to be honest. I figured it might be emptier and less coppers. One of my Dads mates has moved to France too, and found some good roads, so that was gonna be another trip (and a start point of learning about riding abroad).

I wouldn't mind a Super duke to tour on. I reckon that upright position would be comfier in the long run (although wind blast might negate it - depends how bad it is on one) But for a while the D6 is luckily reasonably comfy.

To be honest - I'd be happy to do it on my own too. Kinda like riding alone, just stopping anywhere I like - without worrying about other riders (will they make that gap too? Have the followed me? Did they see me turn? Am i going too fast/slow etc etc)

Ok i'm up for that next Spring. Bit late in the year to organise now.

The other option is a trip to Le Mans Motogp next year.
